Matt Borghi

Matt Borghi is a mixed-media composer and conceptual sound artist and performer. He lives and works in Michigan, and performs and exhibits all over the United States. The primary concept behind Matt's work is the interplay between the music and sound he composes, and the natural sonic environment. Matt's work has been featured on National Public Radio, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and the British Broadcasting Corporation, as well as dozens of non-syndicated programs all over the world. Undercurrents is collaboration between US artist Matt Borghi and Canadian artist Aidan Baker. Droning ambient guitar passages are remixed, reworked, and layered into drifting, amorphous pieces drenched in reverb and echoing with an aquatic, submarine quality.
